Compliance

Standards we follow.

Compliance with international valuation standards ensures every report is legally defensible, accepted by all major institutions, and meets the highest professional benchmarks.

RICS Red Book valuation standards

RICS Red Book Global 2025

The RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book) is the definitive framework for property valuation practice worldwide. It sets requirements for competence, objectivity, transparency, and documentation. All Landmark valuations are prepared in accordance with the Red Book.

Why it matters
Banks, courts, and regulators in Australia recognise and require RICS Red Book compliance.

IVS 2025 (International Valuation Standards)

Published by the International Valuation Standards Council, IVS provides a universal framework for valuation practice and reporting. It ensures consistency across borders and asset classes. Landmark applies IVS 2025 in conjunction with the RICS Red Book.

Why it matters
A consistent, internationally recognised framework means your valuation is understood and accepted worldwide.

ESG & Sustainability Standard (effective 30 April 2026)

The latest RICS standard addressing environmental, social, and governance factors in valuations. It requires valuers to consider sustainability characteristics, energy performance, and climate risk. This is particularly relevant in Australia given increasing regulatory focus on ESG disclosure.

Why it matters
Landmark is preparing for full compliance ahead of the effective date, ensuring our clients are future-proofed.

API Rules of Professional Conduct (2024)

The Australian Property Institute sets ethical and practice standards for valuers in Australia. The rules cover professional behaviour, competence, conflicts of interest, and reporting obligations. Landmark team members maintain API membership and comply with these rules.

Why it matters
Local professional accountability ensures your valuer operates to the highest ethical standards in Australia.

A valuation prepared under recognised standards is legally defensible, accepted by lenders and courts, and protects your financial interests.
